The Codfather Village
The Codfather Village, the I Luv JHB venue, is fittingly a historic venue with a history as interesting as the good city of Joburg itself.

Johannesburg was originally a farm called Katenenelombogen. Its Manor house was in Rosebank, the owner then built a little stone house in Morningside as a holiday house nearby the river. The farm was later subdivided and the holiday house became the farm house of the Edenburg farm now known as Sandton. The catholic church was then given, as a gift, a massive piece of the farm which stretched today from 1st to 12th ave Rivonia. They then built a nunnery where the cloisters shopping centre was built. The little farm house then became the home for the Carmilite sisters for many years.
Later, a monk Mr Stricklyn, used the house as a drug rehab for many years. The house was then sold to Jollyn Simpson who added on to it and used the premises to restore vintage motorcars.16 years ago it became the home of the Codfather.
Today the Codfather Village comprises of 3 restaurants:
The Codfather –specializing in Sushi and Seafood from around the world
The Cowfather – Sells only choice grass feed beef and Poultry
Sisi –Our Italian cuisine specialists
The newly opened Codfather food Hall and weekly market, sells– Rawfish, Meats, organic vegetables, coffees, oils, prepared meals and everything you need for your kitchen at home.
The village also has the services of 3 Conference rooms
The famous courtyard and our latest addition, the Art Gallery.
It is an amazing space which is just prime for an event such as ILOVEJHB
